The aptly titled Lightning Gun was an invaluable tool on my mission. The Tesla Rods mounted on the rear of the Intrepid were procured from defeating the Quetzlcoatyl reactor boss in the Garados Plains. Operationally, a large metal slug was launched from the Intrepid Cannon and when the slug touched a surface, the heavily ionized Tesla Rods would channel a devastating amount of electrical energy through the air to the contact point. The discharge was massive, but the reload time was also quite long. I also had to make sure never to fire this weapon under water. The one time I tried, unintentionally mind you, nearly depleted the Intrepid's shield in a single blast.  |
